Beach Life At Aberavon

I live next to the beach, and it’s a beautiful place to live. We have so much to offer at Aberavon, and sometimes it’s nice to just photograph the people as well as the landscape around us. This blog I’ve titled “Beach Life At Aberavon”, and is a slice of life during lockdown in Wales in 2021. Usually the beach, at this time of year is nowhere near as busy as this, however, with lockdown, people are exercising more than ever.

I’ve gone for a slight cinematic tone with the editing tonight. I just felt like playing a little with my usual look. As such, all images have added a cinematic look to them using Photoscape X Pro. As usual, the photographs were taken using my Fujifilm X-T3, however tonight I used my Fujifilm 50-230mm lens for a change.

Here are the images from the evening. As usual, all EXIF data is included, and they are best viewed full screen.

Hopefully you have enjoyed these photos. Comments are welcome, as are likes for the blog, and of course subscribe so you don’t miss out on future blogs!

While you are here, take a look around all my other blogs! There’s loads to see!!!

  1. Aberavon Beach brings back wonderful memories. Your amazing photos keep me ìn touch with my hometown from Canada. Thank you Mark

  2. Really lovely photos. I love that colour scheme for the sunsets, more restrained than the velvia which I have been using. I’m also beside a beach just across the water from you at Rosslare, Co Wexford, Ireland. @richardglynnhayes has some of my seaside lockdown photos since July. I’ve just started with my first Fugifilm X series camera, XE3. I’m wondering how I might approach your lovely colour tone in my camera. Also, so far I am not using post editors. Thank you, Regards Richard

    1. This was one of the rare occasions I actually done a little bit of post processing on top of the X-Trans III version of my Colour Chrome similation found in the Fuji section of this website. I added a simple blue-ish filter, I can’t remember exactly which one, in Photoscape X Pro (there’s a free version available).

If you the X-E3 is an X-Trans IV sensor, try the Colour Chrome+ in the Fuji section also.

I rarely if ever post process for my blogs, and I generally avoid Velvia for sunsets. I hope this helps.
