We’re still in lockdown here in Wales, so the places I can visit are limited. Luckily enough I live next to the beach at Aberavon in Port Talbot, so it lets me stretch my legs and get some fresh air. Tonight’s little jaunt had me trying out a refined film simulation that I use called MGA Colour Chrome, only I have modified it for Fujifilm X-Trans IV sensors. I also only used the Viltrox 23mm F/1.4 lens for all images.
I was not left disappointed with the sunset, it was truly beautiful, and I managed to take a few photographs. What I present to you hear are the straight from camera jpeg images which I set up in camera before use. I used Photoscape X Pro to simply straighten if needed, and I cropped one of the photos. I also took a few bracketed images, which I will use for HDR images. I will do another post at another time showing my HDR landscape images.
All photographs taken on the Fujifilm X-T3 in aperture priority mode, using the EV dial as needed.
I really like the way the images look straight from camera. they have a little more punch than my X-Trans III sensor recipe.
It was absolutely amazing to be able to get out tonight for an hour, and I bumped into my good friend Thomas while I was there, which just made things all that much better. Hopefully in the coming weeks we can get out of lockdown and get something a little more interesting for you all!

Really great pictures Mark, the one with the rope and the fishing boats in the background I personally find breathtaking, might as well be a painting by a famous painter.

Beatutiful photos! Well done. I have been to Wales twice, once in the south at Cardiff (I loved the pub crawl we did there!) and the second time in the resort town of Llandudno and into Snowdon. What a beautiful and diverse country and look forward to seeing it again someday! Your photos really captured that feeling I had when I was there!

I just purchased my first Fujifilm camera (XE4)! I am taking photos of my sister’s baby shower this weekend (mainly indoor) and I’ll give some of these a try
