A Short Story

It was winter, and bitterly cold. I went to Browns and drunk too much as I always did. I needed to write, so left her side and went home. I braved the cold, and my head hurt but I wanted to be in the shed, my only saviour. I wrote and wrote until I couldn’t write no more. My mind was full of words that needed to be put down on paper, tomorrow they will be a distant memory. Tiredness came. I headed to the Boat House, lay on my bed fully clothed and slept. I dreamt of a world that never existed.

A Place In Wales…

I go there every season.
It’s not a secret, I have my reason.
Though in my heart it’s always sunny.
Like being drowned in a pot of honey.

I stroll along the bay.
It’s perfect to me that’s all I say.
Take me there I pray, if only for one single day.

Here Dylan was born.
After such his life just shone.
His suit he leaves behind.
In a case so confined.

I love this place, I cry.
Being true, I can’t not lie.
Will always be there till the day I die.
Where I shall gaze from clear blue sky.

I hope that you enjoyed something a little bit different with this blog entry. Photography and poetry are two things that I also love to do, and it would be great if you could leave feedback on this. I’m always looking for featured Spotlight photographers, so please contact me if you would like to appear here.
