Welcome to the new collection of Nikon Imaging Colour Recipes by One Camera One Lens. All these recipes will be forwarded with the prefix “MGA” so that you know that they are created by myself.
All the below recipes can be downloaded as a bulk set from the link below safely stored on my MEGA site.
For exclusively photographing people I would recommend using Nikon Standard, Nikon Portrait or Rich Tone Portrait. Or just shoot in raw.
All recipes use default Auto White Balance and D-Lighting set to “Normal”. Exposure until correct. Please experiment and enjoy!

MGA Kodachome 2025:
Type: General Use Kodachrome like recipe.
Great For: Everyday use, especially in the sun and with a lot of red’s and yellows.
Description: Kodachrome 2025 is a Kodachrome 65 recipe for the modern age.








MGA Everyday Chrome Warm:
Type: General Use Chrome with rich warm tones.
Great For: Everything and everything!
Description: A more contrast take on Classic Chrome for everyday beauty!

MGA OldFilmish:
Type: Retro Film.
Great for: Landscapes, portraits, people, architecture and general use.
Description: A faded, film-like colour profile with a nostalgic look.

Description: Nostalgic negative type recipe.

MGA Futurist:
Type: Artistic.
Great for: Landscapes, architecture and general use.
Not good for: Portraits.
Description: A recipe inspired by a Darktable colour profile that I created some years ago. It gives vibrant colours, with reds and oranges pushed and the skies turning to a stunning colour to compliment the other colours. Usually, I use this profile is used on architecture, however, it can be used as you like (but I would not recommend people!








MGA Natural:
Type: General Use Recipe.
Great for: Landscapes, people, architecture, flowers and general use.
Description: As the name suggests, this is a natural look recipe. It does have slight tweaks to different colours, plus some little colour offsets to the highlights, shadows and mid-tones, but it gives the feel of a natural, film-like look.








MGA OldSchool:
Type: Artistic Retro.
Great for: Landscapes, people (street), architecture and general use.
Not good for: Portraits (can give un-natural colours in certain lighting)
Description: Based on the look of old 2000’s CCD point and shoot cameras.








MGA Paintry:
Type: Artistic.
Great for: Landscapes, architecture and general use.
Not good for: Portraits.
Descrition: Named because of the lush colours that your images turn into when using this recipe. It can transform a boring landscape into something spectacular. This one has definitely become a favourite of mine.








MGA Portra-Fade:
Type: Retro Film.
Great for: Landscapes, people, portraits, architecture and general use.
Description: This is really just an old film look, that works well on many images. Often, it can be used alongside the MGA Portra-Ish recipe depending on the lighting etc, and it will not look out of place with the rest of the images.








MGA Portra-Ish:
Type: Retro Film.
Great for: Landscapes, people, portraits, architecture and general use.
Description: It is Portra! For the Nikon!
