Jersey Park Forest Adventure

It was one of the warmest days of the year so far, and an uphill adventure was ahead of us, as we walked 4 miles (2 miles there and 2 miles back) to an old, unused reservoir. Getting there was 90% uphill, and combined with the heat, it was a hard walk. But it was worth it in the end.

I’ve been neglecting my 18-135mm lately, so I was armed with that attached to my Fujifilm X-T3. All images were shot in basic Classic Chrome and raw. Todays images are edited raw files, using Photoshop. I had an idea in mind before I left on what I wanted, and I think I have achieved the look and images that I wanted.

I just thought I would do some experimenting with the Orton Effect using a technique in Photoshop. Also, there was some dodging and burning and vignette’s used. Much more editing than I usually do, but you know me… I like to do something different all the time.

I would like to thank all of you who support my site in so many ways. Stay tuned because there’s more to come this week with my DXO PhotoLab V5 Elite review which I have been working on.

    1. Thank you, that is my favourite shot of the day. I just passed that opening and the light was shining through, so just knew I wanted to edit the raw on it and make it even more beautiful.

    1. Thank you very much. Yes, I realised only a short while ago that our Robins and American Robins are very different. Beautiful birds, my favourite ones to photograph, especially in winter when they are so beautiful against winter colours.
