My birthday celebrations and the Z6ii with the 40mm F/2 lens.

Well, there’s quick a year flies by. Before you know it, another year around the sun has taken place, and it is all change. If you had asked me this time last year if things would be this different, I would have said no, but the last 12 months has brought about big changes.

One of the biggest changes is of course my change back to Nikon, and as today is my birthday, I decided to take out my birthday present, the Z40mm F/2 lens, and take images before and after my little birthday meal with the family.

All images are straight from camera, just cropped. Before I went out, I changed the saturation and contrast of the “standard” colour picture profile, as I tweak to get the look I want. I love the colours of Nikon cameras, and in natural light they look lovely. A lot of these images were taken in lighting in the pub where we went for food.

All EXIF can be found in the images, and some of these were shot at very high ISO settings so that I could keep the shutter speed up. Anyway, I must go and continue the celebrations, so see you all soon!

    Unfortunately, there is no escape from growing older,
    so we all better make the best of it.
    Your camera is working well, very nice colors indeed, deep and vibrant.

    1. Thank you Marc, much appreciated. I think “my deepest condolences” rings true, I hate getting older these days!

      Yes, very happy with the camera. I’m out with it on Tuesday again, so will be other things to shoot. Plus I’m about to order a Z to M42 adaptor, so will have some vintage lenses action soon!
