Tonight I was lucky enough to have the chance to photograph Ray Thomas from Neath, a local and very talented artist. The event was held at the Celtic Lodge in Neath, where we had food before the event. Starting at 7pm, the event quickly filled up with people admiring the artwork that Rat had laid out for us all to see.
My aim as the photographer for the event was to photograph candidly, just capturing people in moments. The event was a light hearted one, filled with laughter, people having a drink, chat and general excitement at the night. The people were friendly, and it was an honour to meet Ray. Yes! After all these years of knowing him online, this was the first time that I had met him.
All images captured on the Nikon Z6ii with Z24-70mm and Z40mm lenses where they were then processed in Photoshop. I have gone for a selection of colour and black and white images in order to capture the vibe of the evening.

That was an exceptional night! And as a side note, I have to say that before the event, we had food in the Celtic Lodge, and I think I had the BEST burger I have ever had in my life. It was absolutely stunning! We enjoyed Ray’s images so much that we purchased one, and Llinos can be seen holding the one that we bought, which will be hung in the house, proudly on show for all to see.
If you have an event you would like me to photograph, please feel free to contact me and I will do the best I can to help you out. It was a lot of fun, and I would like to thank Ray for having me there.
