Port Talbot Pride At Aberavon 2023

I had never had a chance to photograph a Pride march before, so as I was free I thought I would take the opportunity to join in the fun and see these people enjoying themselves. Sadly, the weather was not too nice, but I do not think it dampened to many peoples spirits.

I took my Fujifilm X-T3 with Viltrox 56mm F/1.4 and it was a great opportunity to try the new to me, but very old Casio Exilim EX0H5. Other than a few issues with the Casio, I was more than happy with the results (which you can see in much more detail at a later date).

Here are the Fujifilm images from the event.

And here are the humble Casio images. I hope, if you are reading this and just own an old point and shoot camera that you dig it out and use it, because they are excellent!

All images were edited in Darktable 4.4 (Fuji files from raw) using my American Color Standard colour zone preset. I am really enjoying a new way of editing lately, which I hope to share soon. Pushing that exposure for bright and vibrant photographs!

Anyway, don’t forget to like, comment and subscribe, and don’t forget to take a look at my book about Aberavon and Port Talbot “Alleys, Art And Architecture” which you can view below.

    1. I think they all enjoyed even with the rain. Thank you once again. My friend was with me, and has just bought a ln O-EM10. What a small camera! l’m sure it’s not much different in size to my E-EPL8!
