I was bored so I took the macro lens into the garden and took a few images! I hope you like these, I managed to get some incredible images I think!
All images are taken with the Nikon Z6ii and Tamron 90mm F/2.8 Macro DiIII. They were edited in Darktable from the raw files.

Thank you for viewing!

Hey Mark,
Well, you definitely made the most out of a bit of boredom—these are fantastic shots! That Tamron 90mm really is a gem, and with the Z6ii it’s a perfect combo. Macro photography always feels like discovering a hidden universe, doesn’t it? The detail you’ve captured is brilliant.
Also, great to see you working in Darktable—the colours look spot on! I hope the Welsh weather keeps behaving and brings you more surprises out in the garden. Over here, temperatures are climbing fast—32, maybe even 35°C today—so I doubt I’ll be doing much more than hiding from the heat! Anyway, hope all’s well with you.
All the best,
Marc

Thank you Marc. Yes, you know I live Darktable. I just find it quick and easy and it gets the job done.
They’ve given 28°c for us today, but I’ve just woke up and it’s a bit overcast, so we will see!
Chat soon.

Fantastic macro shots! 🐝🌸 I love seeing all the tiny garden visitors – bees and flies don’t bother me at all (I even have an insect hotel on my balcony). But I’ll admit, I wouldn’t dare get this close to anything with eight legs… 😅 Spiders are best admired from a safe distance! Amazing work capturing all these little details.

Thank you Mike. Yes, spiders are really not my strong point either. They are a bit scary compared to other critters!
