Great perspective! I totally agree about gear weight and practicality – my Canon G1X (‘almost APS-C’) has been the perfect bike companion, offering the best balance of quality and portability without resorting to phone-sized sensors. That said, for my landscape and wildlife work, I still find full frame’s tonal range and file flexibility unmatched – it’s a noticeable step up from the various smaller Nikons I’ve used over the years. Ultimately though, you’re absolutely right that the best camera is the one you’ll actually use!
