It’s day 6 of “12 Days Of Christmas” and we have another great question to ask you all, plus a little commentary on why it should or shouldn’t be important to you. So, get voting and commenting on this question.
Having and using custom buttons correctly is an important part of photography. Making the camera yours, and to be tactile for you is what separates you from other photographers. The big advantage of course is that you won’t need to go into the cameras menu system, thus saving you time and ensuring you get that shot!
Depending on your camera, there will be a certain number of customisable buttons. So, when deciding what camera to buy, it’s always good to check out this option. Once you start customising your buttons, there really is no turning back!
Let us know what you do with your buttons!
I am a semi-professional photographer who runs a weekly meeting photography group as well as numerous Facebook groups (Great Photography Walks South Wales and Fujifilm Lovers Worldwide Group). I also have a brand-new blog website dedicated to various other things which I like to call The Ramblings Of A Welshman. I hope you can join me there; you might find it interesting!
I have some of mine set up for long exposure photography. I primarily take photos of different landscapes.

That’s always a great option, I use that mostly for macro work, but it’s handy for everything.
