A Visit To Craig-Y-Nos Country Park (Plus Video Blog From The Day)

This week is very special, after learning to make a vlog last week, and put up my very first YouTube video blog, this week I vastly expand on the idea, and share with you images from the fantastic day, plus the YouTube video. It was a day for great photography, and I am very proud of this video.

We visited Craig-Y-Nos briefly last year, but because of bad weather, the day was a bit of a let-down. Tuesday 18th January 2022 was a different matter though, as the weather was fantastic, there was a group of 22 photographers with me and I found my love for doing vlogs of the events.

I used my Fujifilm X-T3 for all the images, and my Google Pixel 6 for the video. Images were edited in Photoscape X Pro and video was edited in the free version of NCH VideoPad. I’m really happy with the video software at the moment, and although it doesn’t allow me to do a few things (such as use their stock sound effects anymore!), it’s easy enough to download alternatives online.

Anyway, enough chat! Here’s the video, and it’s just 12 minutes in length, so I would love you to watch it… PLEASE like the video on YouTube as it really helps, and of course like this blog! Also PLEASE subscribe!

Here are a selection of images from the day. I managed to also get in some long exposures and some infrared photography, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

I hope you enjoyed the blog and the video, and would really appreciate feedback!

I am a semi-professional photographer who runs a weekly meeting photography group as well as numerous Facebook groups (Great Photography Walks South Wales and Fujifilm Lovers Worldwide Group). I also have a brand-new blog website dedicated to various other things which I like to call The Ramblings Of A Welshman. I hope you can join me there; you might find it interesting! You’ll find my YouTube Channel Here!

  1. Hi Mark,
    Congratulations on your first videos.
You can say so much more with a video than with a single photo, and you did it very well.
In the meantime I have subscribed to your channel and am already looking forward to the next video.
