This was the first time I had ever attended a Hindu Festival which was hosted by the Sri Kalpaga Vinayakar Temple Wales. As colourful as the festival was, the rain was absolutely relentless, but it did not dampen the spirits of all those involved.
Along with my two boys and my friend Thomas, we weathered the storm and took some images of those involved in the festival. Although I shot in jpeg and raw, I was happy with the jpeg files, and I thought as the festival felt very Bollywood, I would reflect that in the edits! I made subtle edits to the exposure, however I did add a film border as if we were watching a movie!
All images were taken using the Fujifilm X-T3 and Viltrox 56mm F/1.4 lens. Yes, the camera and lens both got dripping wet, and yes, so did we! However, it was a wonderful event that I will try and capture more of in the future!
Do not forget you can click on the images to see them full screen!

The images are presented as they were taken, so they tell the story of the day. Waiting around in the rain, and cold weather, you would never have thought it was summer here in Port Talbot, Wales! It really did feel more like winter.
If you like what you see, do not forget to like, comment and subscribe!

You managed to make something colorful out of it Mark, and under those conditions it certainly wouldn’t have been easy.
