Today turned out to be a nice day. I had to pop out with my friend David, and we thought we would make the most of the few hours we had by scouting out some locations for some future portrait shoots. In the meantime, armed with my XT3, the XF16-80mm F/4 and the Viltrox 13mm F/1.4 lenses, I decided to do some different images at The Gnoll and some long exposures at Neath Abbey (of around 30 seconds).
This is my second lot of edits. My original selection was edited with ON1 Photo Raw, but I just decided to see how the images looked in Darktable, and I just preferred these images. As you all know, I love Darktable, and I am always happy with the results that it gives.

For just 3 hours out, I am more than happy with the images, and we found some very great locations in the areas we scouted. The future sees a change in how I do things with the group, as we move away from long walks weekly, to at least one on-location portrait shoot a month, one street photography shoot and a walk now and again. Recent events have given me the chance to re-evaluate the situation, and get things done that should have been done a long time ago!
We have a number of models lined up, we have the locations, and we are looking at a themed out-door shoot to celebrate Halloween. Possibly a Goth styled event. Also, in a much-needed change, we will be charging for non-walk events, so only those really interested in learning photography will be attracted, and keeping groups to around 12 individuals. It is all very exciting, and I feel very positive about the future. Hopefully, some of the people who have left the group over the years will return as I know many were very bored with rambling week in and week out. That said, now my group has expanded to cover a much larger area of Wales by merging with another group, there is a much wider audience that we can target and help improve their photography.
Anyway, I hope you like these images! Do not forget to like, comment and subscribe!
