A Penllergaer Photography Autumn Outing

Penllergaer is a place that we have visited many times, usually rambling around, and missing many opportunities. It was nice to get out with a large group of people who not only enjoyed being out and about, but cared about taking photographs. I think, the now more relaxed attitude in the group that I take out on Tuesdays is really benefiting all our photography, and it has certainly let us fall in love with the “art of photography” once again.

Images were taken on my trusty Fujifilm X-T3 with XF16-80mm and a CPL filter. I had actually come with the aim of doing some very long exposures, however, I picked up the wrong filter when I left the house, so had a UV filter instead of an ND filter! Nevermind though, as it is quite a shaded, forest area, so I was still able to get some long-ish shutter times. Images are edited from raw in ON1 Photo Raw 2024 Max.

I’m very happy that we found these little mushrooms, which only stood about 2cm or 3cm tall. And it goes to show the versatility of the XF16-80mm lens, which I am really falling in love with. It is such a beatiful lens, and so versatile.
