As you will be aware if you are a regular viewer, I am spending 2024 doing a yearlong project taking selfies in a studio like environment (most of the time). Up until this week, I was lacking in the lighting department, but I was lucky enough to get hold of a lot of lighting equipment!
I have gone from having a single manual flash and a couple of very weak lights, to having a whole host of lighting equipment thanks to a good friend of mine who decided to help me out. I was given, among other things… A Godox TT685, a Godox X1T N trigger for it, a Neewer TT650 speedlight, a reflective umbrella, an always on softbox, a pair of spot lights plus so much more!
Today I spent time practising with the flash to get off camera flash, and here is a little sample of what is to come at the end of my project. I am actually going to print out the images at the end of the year and turn it into a book of some sort. I know it won’t be of interest to anyone, but it is a personal little project.
I’m really enjoying this project, it is making me use my camera in ways that I don’t usually use it, plus it is making me think about things very differently! I hope you enjoyed this little update.
