For the first time in a long time, the weather was lovely. It was warm, there was little wind, and most importantly it was dry. I led the group on a visit to Bedford Park in Cefyn Cribw, Bridgend, and we explored the area, taking photos as we went. I could have taken photos of many different birds, but I didn’t, and as you know, I am more of an opportunist wildlife photographer than one who hunts birds.
We spent three hours wondering around, taking in an ancient Iron Works, a long-time close train Signal Box and an open cast mine. There was a lot to see, and there was a nice crowd of us in attendance, even though we were missing 4 or 5 regulars from the group. We decided to capture the group having a good time, as it has not been often we have had good weather lately!

You can’t see in this image, but we have a healthy selection of digital cameras with us. Fujifilm, Nikon, Sony, Canon, Panasonic and Olympus, and all were busy taking photos of the area. These regular events really do bring out the best in photographers, and we always have a great time.
I of course, had my Nikon Z6ii with me, with the Z24-70mm lens. Raw images were edited in Darktable using my “Retrochrome 4” colour profile.

Once again, an enjoyable time, with great people. Hopefully, in the coming week I will be doing a portrait shoot, so keep your eyes open for that!
Until next time, thank you very much, I hope you enjoyed.

Its good to see everything looking so green Mark. Glad the weather was on your side. Looks like a great outing. Cheers. Allan

Nice series of photos, and I also like the industrial feel in some of them. And the Retrochrome 4 matches it perfectly.
A successful excursion I think.

Thank you very much. It’s a lovely area, always something to photograph. I’ll be releasing a pack of 15 DtStyles very soon, using the new Colour Equalizer module.
