It is the weekend, and it is just me and my youngest, so what better way to spend a few hours than by popping into town and having some time in the Port Talbot “Vintage Day”. It is a little event, filled with old cars, stalls selling odds and ends and a general vibe of vintage goodness.
I was armed with my Nikon Z6ii and my new 20mm F/2.8 lens, which is potentially my new favourite walk around lens for situations like this. All images are straight from camera jpegs, with the odd crop (but only one or two images). Myself and George really enjoyed, and it was fun hearing people say “is that an actual camera” while I was walking around, and everyone else was using their phones!
The church is Saint Marys Church in the centre of Port Talbot, and we walk pass it, so I tool the oppurtunity to get a few snaps of it.

The shopping centre is the only large shopping centre in Port Talbot, and it can be quite a busy little area on times. For us, the most exciting part of the day was the bus that we went inside (and is pictured half way down (blue and cream coloured). It reminded me that I really need to visit the bus museum, so I will be going there soon!
As always, thank you for your time, and I hope that you enjoyed.

It looks like you had a great day out with your son. The photos and colors are beautiful, but what really makes the series stand out is the unique viewpoints from which you took some of the shots. You know I also have an interest in vintage vehicles, so I really enjoyed them.
Have a great weekend with your family, Mark!
Until next time.

I really like this 20mm. I know it’s not for everything, but for around the streets and occasions like this, it’s small, light and just perfect!
Thank you Marc, enjoy your weekend.
