A visit to Forest Farm near Cardiff seen us photographing birds and the odd squirrel. Although we were on the hunt for the mighty Kingfisher, which we photographed last visit, we had no luck today. However, the visit did give the chance to use the new Tamron 150-500mm lens out in the wild.
As I say, I was armed with the Nikon Z6ii and the Tamron 150-500mm Z lens. It was the only lens that I took with me, as I was specifically after birds and wildlife. It was a great few hours out, and I am happy overall with the images that I managed to capture.

As you all know, I am not a massive lover of photographing animals, but when I do, I enjoy it. What makes it great for me is the output of the Nikon Z6ii, it still blows me away as it is beautiful! The detail in this sensor just fantastic, and that is why I love Nikon! All the images were edited from raw files in Photoshop Adobe Camera Raw.
Of course, my highlight of the day is the nuthatch images! It is such a beautiful bird! Please like, comment and subscribe, and I will see you all again very soon!

Mark, this is a truly beautiful series of photos, without a doubt. The Nuthatch is definitely my favorite. Here, we call this bird the ‘Boomklever,’ and I like to jokingly refer to it as the ‘Aldi Kingfisher.’ I don’t mean that in a derogatory way at all, because I find this little bird truly stunning. It might not be as impressive as the Kingfisher, but for me, it certainly deserves second place. Well done, Mark!

Thank you, yes, the Nuthatch is really beautiful. To be honest, I’m happy when I get to capture Nuthatches, I love the term “Aldi Kingfisher”! I will start using it!
