Carreg Cennen In Infrared!

I have my new infrared camera, a converted Lumix TZ10 that is full spectrum with a 680nm filter attached to it. While on the recent video to Carreg Cennen, I used the camera to take a few images. Of course, I have posted images on my other platforms of my recent visit to Castell Coch in infrared too, but these ones I have had more practise with and so I am much more happy with these, basically because of the subject matter.

Here are the images. Initial edit in Photoshop where I swapped the red and blue channels and made basic corrections, and then later adjusted in Photoscape X Pro with some minor colour alterations.

This infrared is a bit of fun, and I enjoy the artistic nature of the camera. It obviously won’t overtake my normal photography, so don’t worry if you do not like this kind of thing! For those that missed it though, here is my favourite IR image from Castell Coch.

Again, thank you all for your time in reading and looking at my website.

  1. I’m definitely one of those who truly appreciate it, Mark. You’ve got some real gems in there—photos number 1 and 2, as well as 3, 4, and even 5, 6, 7, and 8. The castle is absolutely stunning too—all unique!

But on a serious note, your shots with the TZ10 are fantastic. It’s such a versatile camera that fits anywhere. Recently, I had the opportunity to buy a converted Olympus E-PL2, but I decided against it because I already have too many cameras. I can’t keep telling my wife it’s just for testing purposes—she’s not buying it anymore! 😊

    Have a great weekend, Mark!

    1. Thank you very much. It’s very much a niche thing I think, but it just adds a bit more fun and you know we like fun!

I’m sure your wife would be as understanding as mine… So best you didn’t get it! 🤣🤣🤣
