An Hour Portrait Session With Rosie

Today was one of those days. There was a portrait shoot planned, but due to some hitches in life, the 3 hours we had planned turned into an hour! Never mind, being the finally oiled portrait photographers we have become, myself and David, along with out model Rosie, managed to get a few great images!

All images were taken in Port Talbot town centre using the Nikon Z6ii and the 20mm F/2.8, 40mm F/2 and 85mm F/1.8 lenses. I edited the images in ON1 Photo Raw 2025 (with the final image having a bit of extra work done in GIMP 3).

We went for a retro-vibe, so I decided to go for quite a retro colour-palette with this shoot. I hope you enjoy the images.

I still have a few images I want to edit, but I will keep those possibly for black and white edits of this shoot. I hope that you enjoy these images above as much as we did taking them!

  1. All these photos taken in just one hour and in three outfits???

Compared to previous ladies’ photoshoots and locations, this one really stands out. The colors are amazing, the location is stunning—especially the ones under what looks like a bridge—and the model fits perfectly with the colors and setting.

Picking a favorite photo is tough; the first one is beautiful, but many are on the same level. I’m impressed, Mark!

    1. It was a fun rush! Thank you Marc, I thought I’d colour grade for a retro -vibe. It’s actually the same location as I shot with Mark on Friday but I utilised different angles and opportunities.

Once again, thank you very much my friend.
