My Insane May Project/Challenge.

A short while ago I released a blog where we looked at the results of various polls (you will find that here, it is really interresting!) Well, one of those polls asks about if you would be happy using a camera with a fixed focal length (prime lens) and be happy with that choice. 62% of people, agreed, that for the most part, they would be happy! Me, being me, I want to set myself the challenge of doing this, but not with the standard fixed camera focal length (usually around 28-40mm)…

I have decided to push the boundaries, and cause myself unneeded stress by setting myself this challenge for the whole of May (for my own photos I do for fun, and for photo-shoots);

  • I will be using only my Nikon Z6ii, which will have the Viltrox 85mm F/1.8 lens attached for the timeframe of the project.
  • I will be attempting to take at LEAST ONE photo a day, that will be thought out and not just taking the image because I have to.
  • I will be posting the images on my Instagram account, if not everyday (as sometimes I have time constraints), then every couple of days or so.

The project, using a 40mm lens would be simple for me, as I use that lens very often. However, the 85mm focal length is a very different beast, so I will have to be creative in my thought and for the things that I do.

Of course, there will be updates on my website too! So stay tuned for those!

Wish me luck!
