A Walk In The Park With The Macro And Nikkor 50mm F/1.4 lens

I know I was here recently with the family, but I did not have a camera with me. Well today, I went out with the Nikon Z6ii and two lenses, the Tamron 90mm macro and the Nikkor 50mm F/1.4 lenses. Both lenses were put through their paces, and I shot at various apertures on the 50mm to see how well it performs.

It was a regular visit to Singleton Botanical Gardens and Brymill Park. A place that I could honestly visit every week and never tire of. The location changes with each visit, with new flowers, plants, animals and more… It is just beautiful!

All images are straight from camera (some with a little crop), and just resized for the website.

Man! I just love how nice Nikon files come straight out of the camera. Not having to spend hours editing is such a luxury! All files have their full EXIF data on them if you’d like to see which were the Tamron files and which were the Nikon 50mm files.

Comments and feedback are welcome!

  1. Absolutely gorgeous series, Mark! That one with the two people—such a lush, almost tropical garden feel. Beautiful work. My personal favourite has to be the bumblebee perched above those little blue flowers. The 50mm? Sure, it’s a nifty fifty, but that Tamron 90 macro… now that’s a real lens, if you ask me! Top work, Mark. All the best,
    Marc
