This afternoon and the odd occasions over the last few weeks I have been making little changes here and there to my website to improve it for viewers like yourselves. Here is a summary of what has gone, what is new and what is coming!
What Has Gone?
- Over 40 posts have been deleted from my entire back catalogue. This includes posts that are now not relevant, posts by other people who no longer interact with me or my life and posts with dead links, update posts that are no longer ever looked at, and a few random posts I did not like.
- All the old posts that had dark text on dark backgrounds have been fixed, and that issue is now gone. Bad font and colour choices over the years are a pain, and thankfully, these issues only occurred in the first few years.
What Is New?
- A completely revamped home page. When visiting on a laptop or PC, you will see a much cleaner and better laid out homepage, with organised sections for you to visit. It looks great on a mobile too, but looks much better on the big screen!
- There is a “Useful Articles” and a “Reviews” section on the home page that updates each time I post, making sure you always get the most relevant articles first.
- The “About” page has been re-written, and will always include an up-to-date list of all my photography gear.
- The “Darktable” page has been cleaned up, and the links have been corrected where they were dead.
- The “Gallery” page has been updated.
What Is Coming?
- The “Nikon Recipes” section will be split into Colour Recipes, B&W Recipes, Special Recipes along with the older Nikon Colour Profiles section.
- 3 NEW Nikon, 3 NEW B&W and a surprise amount of the new Special Imaging Cloud colour recipes.
- Looking at my views while going through the posts, it is plain to see that guides, and reviews in-particular do very well each month, so I will be focussing on releasing software, lens and camera reviews a lot more (like I used to!)
- The “Portraits, Weddings& Events” is growing! And so that will potentially be split into sections, or I will find a way to shrink the way it is presented.
Whatever happens, don’t forget to keep coming back and enjoy the site that I have built over the last 5 years or so. It is because of you guys that I keep going!
I keep the site advert free, I do not ask for any money, and I do it for you guys.

Looks great! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday, Mark.
