As you would have read in previous social media posts if you follow me on those (or in YouTube Shorts), I had a bit of new lighting equipment. It is the Neewer FL10 Photography Gobo Torch, and I’ve been experimenting with it.
As much as I love my flash photography, sometimes it’s nice to do something a bit different, and being unwell the last few days I thought I would just grab the FL10 and take a quick image using it and natural light.
I actually took a number of shots that I’ve shared on my Photography Facebook page, but here is one that I would like to share with you as it has been edited and cropped since my initial edits.

As you can see, it turned out ok! I used my Nikon ZF sling along with my Nikkor Z24-70mm S lens for the image.
My current Facebook image is actually also using the FL10…

The flash has little filters that you can put on the front of it, which allows you to create different shapes (such as circles, flames, windows etc), so will be very useful, and you can change the colour of the light.
I hope you enjoyed this little blog, I’m resting up in bed, so just using the mobile app on my phone to create it, so I apologise if it’s not up to my usual standard.

Hey Mark – take good care of yourself, and wishing you a smooth and speedy recovery.
