The Quays is a riverside area on the Neath river starting at Briton Ferry Neath/Baglan in Port Talbot. The route takes in industrial land to the one side, and the river Neath on the other, overlooking some beautiful countryside. We thought we would take the opportunity to get out as the weather was nice and see what this place had to offer during a sunset.
I was armed with my Fujifilm X-T3 and just the 15-45mm lens and photographing in my standard Colour Chrome+ film simulation recipe, plus a couple in my Portra recipe. My best mate Karl was out with his new Fujifilm X-T20 and 15-45mm plus 50-230mm lenses. What looked like a gloomy evening, quickly turned into a spectacular sunset, with an extremely high tide, which made it even more interesting.
The following images were cropped and exposure corrected where needed in Photoscape X Pro. I use this program for my jpeg files, which these are, as it quick and simple to straighten, sharpen, adjust exposure etc without changing the colours of the images.
As you can see, we were very lucky with this one, and there were treated to something very special. Please click on the images to see them full screen. the final image is showing cropped on this webpage, so if you click on it, it will open up to its correct ratio.
