Welcome to episode #6 of our spotlight on Ann Tudball’s wonderful work. In this episode Ann shares two great poems for you all to enjoy, while I supply the images for each of these amazing pieces of work.

A short story…
Why did you go to the sea without me? I looked for you everywhere, I only wanted to see your lovely face. It was such a warm day, sun was shining and the sea was clear blue. I didn’t know where I was but it was beautiful. I gave up looking for you in the end and took a stroll to the nearby village. I was quite content walking alone taking in my surroundings. I came across a few crowded cafés, full of people sipping coffee and chatting in the sunshine. An elderly woman came up to me and offered a seat. I sat down and ordered a small black coffee. I chose to sit facing the sea, to see if you were down there? Why did she go without me? I only wanted one last look at her dark hair, soft skin and her bright eyes. I headed back and took one last look on the sea bed but nothing.. I then realised that there was no beautiful woman, no blue sea and no crowded cafés.
Warm sands took my hands,
I gaze endlessly out to sea.
Sun kisses the horizon bed,
are answers out there I plea…
At winter’s cold day I stand at the shore.
Calming waves at my feet.
I hear the silent cry.
Come on in, don’t be shy.
