Although we have visited Southerndown numerous times throughout the years, I’ve never taken time to take in the beauty of the area, nor discover more than the basic route. This Photography Adventure took us to a familier area, but we explored places we had never been before, and took time to chat and discuss compositions, techniques and much more.
Taking in a vastly expanded route, and stopping regularly to find new possibilities, even taking out the tripod for long exposures, focus stacking and general use, this visit to Southerndown was like none before it. Leading a large group of photographers, many of them with us for only their first or second time, we knuckled down to photographing this most scenic part of the Welsh coast.
I was armed with my Fujifilm X-T3 with XF16-80mm lens, along with a 10 Stop ND filter and my new CPL filter as my main camera, plus of course I have my new phone which is capable of 200mp images, which I used for a few images too. The camera images were edited in the latest version of ON1 Photo Raw.

And here are a selection of the Honor 90 200mp images (downsized). These were edited in Snapseed on the go!

That you very much, it’s a great place to visit and other than the strong wind, it was lovely weather which helped.
