A Short Walk After A Hearty Breakfast

It was a lovely day, and what better thing to do than go for a lovely cooked breakfast and then pop out with the camera for a short walk, discovering areas that I’ve not visited before. It was a stroll up a little country road at Ystalyfera, a little village in thenupper Swansea Valley, South Wales.

It was really just a little stroll with my friend Phil, stretching our legs and exploring as we almost end another photographic year. If this year has taught me anything, it is to enjoy the moment with real friends, and I am lucky to have a few good friends, both who like photography, and who don’t. Slowing down and concentrating on what is important has become an important part of my life lately, and that includes taking images that I really like and spending time getting them correct.

Edited in ON1 Photo Raw 2024 Max, these images are from my Fujifilm X-T3 and the XC50-230mm lens. I really wish I had brought my XF16-80mm along with me, but that can be useful for another visit to this location.

I think I am mostly happy with the few images that I took, and of course, let me know what you think!
