A Family Day Out For Easter

It has been a funny Easter this year as my wife worked all through Easter weekend, my eldest was up his Nana’s, and I was just left at home with my youngest. Thankfully, Easter Monday and Tuesday we had time for a family day out, and so needed towards Swansea and a favourite of ours, Singleton Park.

Of course, it was family time, but I had my camera with me. To keep things simple I had my Nikon Z6ii with the Z40mm lens. This keeps things very small and light and I can concentrate on being with the family.

Another issue of course, is that I currently don’t have my laptop as it is in for repair. I transferred the images from the camera to my phone, and it all went very smoothly. Because they’re safe on my camera, I just wanted images to share, and so I sent across today’s images as 2mp jpeg files. I selected the images you see below, corrected horizon and exposure (only if needed) and added a frame to share today. So you’re seeing Nikon Standard jpeg colours.

I’m quite happy with the images and my limited ability to do anything with them, they are basically straight from camera images, which I do like!

I have had confirmation off Asus that they are currently testing my laptop for the issues that I reported, so that is good news. Turnaround is supposed to be around 7 working days. I forgot how hard things are to do without a laptop!

Don’t forget to click on the images to look at them, on the phone app of WordPress, you are limited in what you can do, and I’ll be changing the gallery type when I get back to my laptop!

Anyway, enjoy! Don’t forget to like, comment and subscribe, and I’ll see you all soon.

  1. Hey Mark,
    Great photos – really !
There is no limitation at all, I was able to double-click and enlarge, and honestly, if you hadn’t said that these were processed via your smartphone, I – or no one – would have known.
Super sharp and super detailed – certainly proves what a great camera you have.

  2. Too bad about the laptop, but you found a workaround Mark. As to photo adjustment, I am with you on limiting manipulation to horizon and contrast. Looks like a great family outing. Happy Wednesday. Allan
