A Sunny Portrait Shoot With Jessica At Singleton Gardens.

With my third portrait shoot this month, I wanted to do something a bit different, and we were lucky enough to be able to visit Singleton Gardens in Swansea during some nice weather (for once). Our model Jessica (Instagram @Dela_Jey) was absolutely fantastic, and delivered on everything we asked of her.

I have been working with two other great photographers lately, and we are becoming a well-oiled little team, as we all take it in turns with the lighting, discuss composition and help with every aspect of the shoot. David Ellinsworth and Andrew Williams are a huge part of the current success of these images, together, we work in unison, hopefully getting the very best out of our models. And the great thing for the models is that we all deliver very different images.

These images were captured on the Nikon Z6ii, solely using the Viltrox 85mm F/1.8 lens. I did have my Nikon Z40mm lens with me, but I just did not get around to using it on this shoot. All processing of the raw files was done in Photoshop/Adobe Camera Raw as always recently, and I am actually very happy with the look and feel of these images.

Jessica was an absolutely wonderful model to work with, and I really hope that in the coming weeks and months we can work with her again. I would love you to comment on these images, and of course, do not forget to like and subscribe!

Thank you all for visiting, and I hope you enjoyed!

  1. I don’t understand why there aren’t more comments, because these photos are really great Mark.
    Maybe they are shy.
I think you have indeed found a good combination, together with the other two photographers, it works, and it shows.

    1. Thank you Marc. I’m not sure that portrait photography is for everyone, it is a little disheartening, but luckily enough I do share them on my Facebook photography page and they get much more interaction! They’re just much more accessible here, laid out as I want and with plenty of information.
