A Day Fully Manual With A Vintage Yashica Lens At Singleton Park

Today I visited a place I have visited very often, so to spice things up a bit I used my Z6ii with my vintage Yashica 5cm (50mm) F/2 lens, fully open at F/2 for all shots. We visited the beautiful gardens at Singleton Botanic Gardens, and ventured across to Brynmill Park just across from the Gardens.

My plan today was simple. Have fun and enjoy the scenery, and use a fully manual lens, on fully manual settings. I was using the Z6ii like a film camera, and as such, all images are straight from camera jpeg images, with a few only having a crop or strighten made to them. There was a group of 17 of us there today, and we all had so much fun in beautiful weather.

Here are the images. All taken with Nikon Z6ii and Yashica 50mm F/2 at F/2.

Using vintage lenses is something I do not do very often, but I found the combination of focus peaking, and digital zoom to check focus perfect with this camera. I think the images are beautiful straight from camera, and I did not feel the need to edit any colours or exposure at any time.

Sometimes it is just great to get out and switch off, and today was one of those days.
