A Portrait Shoot At The Dunes With Our Model Mark

We were very lucky today, when we arrived at the portrait shoot, the weather was very overcast and wet. Within 45 minutes of us starting though, the weather changed into quite a lovely day! Our model, Mark Davies was as brilliant as ever to work with and myself and my friend David enjoyed a couple of hours taking images.

Today we were at Aberavon Beach, and I was armed with my Nikon Z6ii, the Nikkor 40mm F/2 and the Viltrox 85mm F/1.8. I used my Godox AD200 flash system, and then the raw images were edited in ON1 Photo Raw 2025. In all honesty, I loved the jpeg output of these images too, and I have posted a few to my Instagram account.

I hope you like these images, we went for a retro feel with the clothes.

As always, working with Mark and David was a lot of fun! I am really happy with the images, and I know Mark will be too. As always, comments and likes are always welcome!

Here is a photo of me and David, kindly taken on my camera by Mark.

  1. Great photoshoot! It gave me a bit of a ‘movie star look’ feeling and reminded me of the classic British Avengers series with John Steed and Emma Peel. I bet many of these would look stunning in black and white too. Well done, Mark!
