Today was just a recon mission for a portrait shoot later in the week, so I decided to use the time to grab some architecture using fisheye and wide angle lenses from 11mm to 24mm, with the majority of the images being at 20mm. I deliberately have not corrected perspective on these, just to be artistic.
I took my Z6ii with the 11mm, 20mm and my 24-70mm lenses. Images have been edited in Darktable using my new colour profile. As I have shot this area so often, it is something different from the norm, so my “drama not dramatic” colour profile I think fits this nicely.

I hope that you like the style that I chose for these, something a bit different I think. Let me know what you think!
I will be back in a few days with images from the model shoot I have planned, which will take place in these areas, but will not be as wide an angle as these.
Thank you for reading, and see you all soon.

Beautiful series, Mark. Your color profile is fantastic, and the photos are stunning – the buildings, the staircases, that gorgeous bridge… Great use of lines and lovely colors throughout. It would make a perfect backdrop for your model work. Top-notch series!
All the best ! Marc.

Thank you Marc, much appreciated. I’m enjoying experimenting with dramatic colour palettes, especially in images where I’ve visited the place before. It’s nice to have a bit of fun I think, as sometimes we take things too seriously.
Tomorrow I have the portrait shoot, so I’m hoping for something a bit different, especially now I know the areas we will be working in. Although I won’t be shooting the model at 11mm 😂😂😂
Talk soon.
