Morning Beach Long Exposures

This morning I popped out for an hour, just to capture some long exposures of the high tide. The water was not as high as I had hoped, but it was still great to be out for an hour in the drizzly spells.

I took my Z6ii with my Tamron Z16-30mm along with my Pig Iron 10 stop filter and of course my tripod. Images were edited in Luminar Neo, and here are the results from the hour at Aberavon Beach.

It was nice to get out for an hour and just slow it down with some exposures. The longer exposures are between 20 and 30 seconds, while the shorter ones are a second or so.

  1. I think I could spend a whole day doing that, stretching the exposures a bit more each time, with the tide coming in and going out, lots of possibilities and different results to explore, nicely done in any case.

    1. Thank you Marc, had exposures from a second through to a minute, but these are between a second and 30 seconds. The tide comes in and out really quick, plus fighting with the weather is always a pain, thank goodness cameras and lenses are great in the rain!

I did get a bit wet when a random wave decided to come in much further than normal and I was up to my ankles 🤣 the joy of living next to the sea.

Just looking forward to sunsets in summer and high tides now!
