A Waterfall, Some Monochrome, A Squirrel And Birds

Today was a beautiful spring day, I popped out for a short while, with the Nikon Z6ii and the Z24-70mm and Tamron Z150-500mm lenses and took a photo or two of a waterfall, a squirrel and some birds. It was at Penllagaer Woodlands, and it was a lot of fun!

The monochrome. A couple of scenes that I liked while going into the area. I just thought they suited a mono interpretation.

The waterfall. Both short-ish, long exposures. The second of which is long exposure and focus stacked from multiple images.

The squirrel. He was there, and wanted his photograph taken, so I obliged with my 150-500mm.

The birds. Taken with my 150-500mm, a variety of birds.

It was an enjoyable day. The water levels were nice and high, the birds were singing and out and about, and I captured images that I really liked, including a few of my favourite Nuthatch (above, caught blinking!).

Spring is indeed, in the air.

  1. Beautiful shots, Mark. And that nuthatch, yes, lovely little bird, one of my favorites too. Now if only it would warm up a bit, it’s still freezing over here. Have a good week.
