I have just renewed the website for the sixth year! Photography By Mark G. Adams will still be at onecameraonelens.com as it encompasses everything I do. There will be things remaining the same, and things changing though as we move forward this year.
What is staying:
- The website will continue to be advertisement free for visitors. It gives me full control of the look of the website, without people having to resort to ad-blockers and having spaces where the advertisements should be etc.
- I will still be sharing photography that I take for fun and for work.
- I will still be sharing reviews of gear that I have actually used, for real-use analysis on the equipment.
- I will still have room for Darktable and Nikon Recipes.
- I will be reviewing more software, as things are developing nicely in the software world.
What is changing or going?:
- I will not be posting as much as I have been. It has been daily up until recently, but with other commitments to photography (work, the magazine and the workshop/groups) time is limited.
- I have noticed that talking about sensor sizes can be very divisive with the internet crowd (unlike in workshops or in-person/group discussions), so I will be avoiding those articles unless it is necessary.
- My home-page has already had a big change, as I move the website closer to what I need for work.
- I am considering removing the Fujifilm recipes section from the website menu system, as I no longer update this section, although I will keep the pages there for people to access.
And there we have it, a rough guide to how things are. I am happy to have renewed the website once again, and from now on it is not going to be about chasing subscribers or views, it is about people seeing my work who are after a photographer etc.
My name is Mark G Adams and I run Photography By Mark G Adams. I am a professional photographer from South Wales, shooting weddings, events and portraits as well as running meets and workshops. For fun I like to shoot landscapes, wildlife and occasionally do street photography. Enjoy my website as I share my knowledge learned over decades of working and having fun in photography.
