It is always lovely to work with someone new, and Carys was no exception. She was fantastic! On a very hot day, which turned a bit wild in the evening, only to suddenly be amazing for our sunset photoshoot.
Unusually for me, I travelled light for this job, using only my Nikon ZF, the Nikkor Z35mm F/1.4 and the Godox AD200 with X2Tn trigger. We shot at a location in the city of Swansea, which is just down the coast from us. Images edited in ON1 Photo Raw 2026 (latest version).

I really look forward to working with Carys again very soon! It was a lot of fun, and I think you can agree, she is a beautiful model.

Lovely series, Mark. The light is beautiful, and the balance between the ambient sunset and the flash feels very natural.
One thing I’d love to see is the option to view these at a higher resolution. I know many readers browse on their phones, but some of us enjoy sitting down in front of a monitor and really looking at photographs. The images are clearly strong enough to deserve that experience.

I’ve increased the resolution to 1600px over the last few months, data shows that they simply don’t get opened to full screen, and more data shows that almost all traffic is via a mobile device on my website.
Full resolution, high-res images are available on all my social media accounts where they actually do get opened full screen though, and where I have no upload limits.
Thanks Marc.

Thanks, Mark. Could you point me to where the higher resolution versions are available? I had a look at your social media, but they seemed to be about the same size, so perhaps I’m looking in the wrong place.

They are all updated at full resolution on my Facebook and Instagram accounts. You can’t use .webp files there, so I literally upload the final product. I know that Facebook has a little commission depending on the device, but the images should be near to the same size. I actually take images off Facebook for the magazine at some people’s requests and they are full size.

Thanks, Mark. I checked Instagram, but the images there seemed a little smaller. Perhaps Facebook hasn’t updated yet, so I’ll take another look later. Thanks!

This batch of images will be up in the next hour or so (there are different edits currently up), along with links to the article. It’s been busy with the boys off school because of this heat-wave so everything is on go slow! Thanks Marc.
