A Sunny Mumbles, The Nikon ZF And The Z35-100mm

They have actually finished the extensive work they have been doing in Mumbles, Swansea. A visit was called for, and what better day! The sun was out, the sky was blue and the company was brilliant.

Armed with my Nikon ZF and my new Tamron Z35-100mm lens, today was a good, real-life test of this lens. It passed with flying colours. Autofocus hit every single time, the bokeh is lovely, and the lens has really nice 3D pop.

All images are straight from camera using my personal “Weddings V2” recipe. Some images have been cropped or straightened. The full size files can be found here for you to enjoy, along with all EXIF data.

I really do like the look and feel of these images. It was nice to get them at different focal lengths and apertures, along with a few shots with the ND filter.

It feels like summer is coming!

  1. From everything I’ve read about this lens, it seems you’ve picked a real workhorse. It looks like an excellent fit for events, weddings, portraits, and general photography. Judging by these images, I’d say it’s going to serve you very well.

    Have a great day Mark.

    1. Thank you, it’s a beautiful lens. I’m really liking the 3D pop from it. I think you’re right! Tomorrow I am working with it on a portrait shoot, and looking forward to all it can do!
