Coming Of Age – The Final Goodbye

After yesterdays post looking at what does well on my website, I have been thinking hard on which direction to take things. In fact I was up all night pondering what to do. And then I thought to myself, my website is more than just photography related posts, it is my online diary. Through this website and my previous websites, they capture the here and now, so I will do this for me.

Coming Of Age – The Final Goodbye

Yesterday (Friday 17 July 2026) was the last day of the school term, and for my eldest son Samuel it meant going to his school leavers party in the evening. Yes, as he is now 11 which means from September he will be going to the much more mature and harder working Comprehensive School. In some ways I feel like I am losing him as a young child, but also I am so proud of all he has achieved in his Primary School.

He was top of his class in Primary School, and headed up both the Eco-Committee and Welsh Language Committee. He can name you any country, match it to any flag, he can answer any history question you throw at him and he is also a brilliant artist. His pictures he draws, along with the comic books he writes are fantastic, and I am sure one day he will be a famous artist.
