A day at Kenfig for Infrared, HDR and a long, long walk!

Firstly, no video today. I am still not feeling 100%, so I didn’t record any video today. We took a long, long walk to an area we have been twice before. It’s not really a place I can say I enjoy visiting, but I managed to get some photographs from it! Kenfig Pool is about a mile or so from the coast, once you leave the lake, you walk over sand dunes, march lands and overgrowth to get to the beach. It was an exhausting walk, but I enjoyed.

Armed with the Fujifilm X-T3 and 15-45mm, my aim was to take a photo of the lone tree in Infrared and get a few HDR images. I was also trying out a new recipe which I have tentatively titled “ProNeg Hi Warm”. The images using that recipe are below.

I also took four images in Infrared. I decided to make one of them black and white. Today really wasn’t the day for infrared, as the sun just didn’t stay out long enough.

Finally! I have one image that I decided to just edit from raw and make it a bit more artistic.

Edited in ON1 Photo Raw 2022.

As you can see above, I decided to edit (infrared images and artistic final image) in ON1 Photo Raw 2022. Plus I straightened and cropped the other images using it. I just wanted to try a few things out and I am happy with the results.

You may have noticed there’s no HDR images here… I took a few, but I haven’t processed them yet. That will be another time.

I hope you enjoyed todays post! Hopefully I’ll get videos up again in the future!

I am a semi-professional photographer who runs a weekly meeting photography group as well as numerous Facebook groups (Great Photography Walks South Wales and Fujifilm Lovers Worldwide Group). I also have a brand-new blog website dedicated to various other things which I like to call The Ramblings Of A Welshman. I hope you can join me there; you might find it interesting! 1. Hi Mark,
Sorry to hear you’re still not feeling well,
and it’s been a while now,
your health is more important than a video,
so take good care and maybe get a full check?
    All the best my friend!
