When I first started using Fujifilm, I always intended to use all prime lenses (or mostly prime lenses). Today my mission is complete, as I add two new F/1.4 lenses to my system! I still only have a few lenses, as I recently sold a lot as you all know. Here are the lenses that have fulfilled my system requirements.

As you can see, they are the Viltrox 56mm F/1.4 and the Viltrox 13mm F/1.4! This means I now have the following lenses for my system:
TTArtisan 7.5mm F/2 (manual fisheye)
Viltrox 13mm F/1.4
Viltrox 23mm F/1.4 (my favourite lens for a long time!)
Viltrox 56mm F/14
Fujifilm XC50-230mm
As you can see, that’s some impressive collection of F/1.4 glass! I did own the Viltrox 85mm F/1.8 a long time ago, and only sold it as it was too large, and the focal length didn’t suit my photography.
I’ll be testing and reviewing the lenses in depth very soon, and I’d like to thank AVMPhoto for supplying me so quickly! I highly recommend using them, they are cheap and deliver very quickly!
Here are some initial test samples, all of which are straight out of camera:

As you can see, the images are very sharp. Focusing was fast and locked to the target area while I was composing. Bokeh is lovely, and colour reproduction using MGA Colour Chrome+ jpegs is stunning!
I’m going out with the lenses tomorrow and going to really test them thoroughly over the next few weeks. I’m already loving the output of these lenses, so really looking forward to using them. And yes! I do love using prime lenses (as I wrote here) and I never struggle with missing compositions with them like some people think you might do.
Anyway! Hopefully you’ll be seeing many examples from these lenses very soon!
Hi Mark, congratulations on your two new lenses. Viltrox makes top lenses, so you will undoubtedly have a lot of fun with them !
