The Beach And BP With The Fujifilm Evo And Pentax H90 CCD Cameras

I really wanted to get out and try the Pentax H90 camera in nice weather, and today was the day! While I was at it, I thought I really needed to get the Fujifilm Instax Evo out for a run as well, so enjoy these images from today!

All images were straight from camera jpegs, all settings set to auto and exposure compensation set to -2/3 or so. They were quickly edited in Darktable, with a crop, and my “Portra Skies” colour zone plus very little tweaks.

Fujifilm Instax Evo digital images.

Pentax Optio H90.

A day with no “real” camera as so many pointed out, but I was happy with the results! I quite like the Pentax, although it does not have the greatest image quality on zoomed images, it does have a more analogue look than most of the other CCD cameras I have used.

  1. Although the pictures from the EVO are certainly not bad, the Pentax pictures are nicer, and as you say, a more analogue look.
Some are even not inferior to pictures of “real big brother”, yes the possibilities will certainly be more limited, but for normal, landscape and street photography the Pentax will certainly hold its own.
    Very nice Mark !

    1. Thank you, yes, I’m quite happy with the Pentax, the only thing that lets it down is the images get soft at the long end, much more than the other CCD cameras I have. But it’s a lovely camera.
