A New Challenge – Portrait Photography

We are nearing the end of January 2024, and I am trying new things. I have been wanting to do portrait photography for a long time, and I was invited with my good friend David to photograph a local model Jess Bannan. As I am currentl without a camera, I borrowed my friend Phils Fujifilm X-T3 with the XF16-80mm and went out and took photographs.

Edited in Darktable, and tweaked in ON1 Photo Raw 2024, here are the images from today. We visited Merthyr Mawr and Ogmore Castle, and luckily enough, the weather held out!

I am very happy with the outcome, and the full size images look absolutely amazing. However, I must admit, I wish I had had my new Nikon Z6ii with me for this one, especially in the church. However, as my first attempt, I am more than pleased. Images are best viewed full screen, and should not show any artifacts that way.
