Today we took a lovely walk along the prom in Barry Island, Cardiff. Once the home of the infamous Barry Butlins Holiday camp, the island is still a little seaside town with a lot to offer. Today I wanted to just capture the people, the place and the atmosphere.
I was armed with my Nikon ZF with the Nikkor 24-70mm lens, and the images were shot in my colour profile “MGA Portra-Ish”. They are straight from camera, just straightened, cropped and a frame added in Photoscape.

My aim, as always is just to document the area, and capture things in a style and look that I feel suits the subject. I managed to capture a few images for my “Prom People” project too, which I am really happy with.
As you may have noticed, I used a zoom lens today! I actually really missed my prime lenses, but I did enjoy it, even though I kept zooming in and out with my feet rather than the lens a lot of the time!
It would have been nice to have nicer weather, but… This is Wales, and typical summer weather!
Comments are welcome! I hope you enjoyed.

Nice shots, Mark – and the weather you describe sounds just like what we get over here: a mix of sun, clouds, and rain. One thing did catch my eye though – a table with four cameras on it, and one of them just happens to be the Olympus E-M5 Mark III. Not bad, one out of four! All the best, Marc.
