Family Day Out In Porthcawl

It was a strange day with the weather, but we took a gamble and decided to pop to Porthcawl to visit the seaside resort and make memories before the local council there demolishes the attractions to build homes and ruin the area. I took images of the funfair, the people and of course us!

My aim today was to capture images for my “Prom People” project, plus make memories of course. I used the Nikon ZF with the Z40mm F/2 lens and shot in my “Nostaligic” colour profile, so images are straight from camera, just cropped and straightened.

Here are some general images from the day.

And here are the family images from the day!

Nothing beats making memories, and capturing images for projects. Today was a great day! My eldest son, Samuel, was up with his nana, so it was just the three of us today. I’m really happy with todays images, and I DO love my “MGA Nostalgic” colour profile (which can be found here for Nikon cameras!).

See you all soon!

  1. That’s exactly what it’s all about, Mark – making memories. And it looks like you nailed it. Lovely series, beautiful colors. Did your wife take those shots of you? Well then, hand her a camera more often – she’s clearly got the eye too. Enjoy the rest of the summer break. All the best,
    Marc.
