Huge Nikon Z Recipe Update

There has been a HUGE update to my MGA Recipes section of my website (for Nikon Z cameras). I have re-designed the section, and as part of the re-design you’ll find around 15 brand new Nikon Z Imaging Recipes that you can download to your camera.

You will find plenty of examples of each recipe, plus there will be more added as time goes by. With over 30 exclusive Nikon recipes, and a daily reach of thousands of visits and downloads, it is a place Nikon Z users love to visit.

The update includes:

  • 8 NEW Colour recipes. (MGA In-An-Instant, MGA Slide, MGA Slide 2, MGA Sandstorm, MGA Retrofy, MGA Retrofy 2, MGA Nostalgic Past)

Keep an eye out for new blogs highlighting specific recipes!

  1. Really looking forward to it Mark ! After this week and the weekend, I’ll see how to best update the earlier links on my site to your Nikon recipes with the new ones. Right now we’re in full prep mode — heading out on a bushcraft trip in a few days — so time’s a bit tight. I even prepped a few articles in advance so I wouldn’t have to do anything this week except pack 🙂 So don’t hold it against me if I go quiet these next few days, especially from Wednesday/Thursday on! Anyway, keep up the great work and have an excellent day! All the best, Marc.

  2. great update, I don’t see anyone doing a lot of work in this space right now, glad to see someone in the Nikon arena putting effort into these, I wish Nikon would make it just a little easier on the end user to apply them, great job.

    1. I’ll have to do an article. It’s really simple, just use their website, drag the recipe into a slot and your camera automatically installs it. Thank you Scott, much appreciated 👍

      1. Yeah I get it, but the whole process is just kinda convoluted when you compare how easy it is on the Fujifilm system. I’ve done it on both systems and the way Nikon does it just doesn’t register well with the brain. I actually think their system is more flexible and has a lot of pros over the Fuji system, but implementation for the casual user on Fuji is easy to explain to a novice. An article explaining it would be a good spot on your site for sure 🙂

      2. Yeah, Fuji’s system is easier, and really improved over the years.

I think as it’s quite new, it’s got time to improve. I know a lot of people just upload them with their SD cards, but I’ve not tried that.

It’ll be interesting to see the new grain feature and how that can be implemented! I’m looking forward to that for the ZF, perhaps they’ll make tweaks after that firmware update.

        Thanks Scott
