Happy New 2026 – My 2025 Site In Stats And Pics

Hello and welcome to my year end roundup of all things photography here at One Camera One Lens. As you may know, on this site I like to share my personal photography, some work photography, hints, tips, reviews and so much more! This year has been exceptional, and I have really found my mojo again when it comes to photography.

First of all though, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support. It is because of you all that I keep the site going. I actually tested a few things on social media in the latter half of this year to see reach and view comparison, and the website outperformed social media by a huge margin, so I will be renewing the site again in 2026.

Before we get into the statistics, I would like to share with you some of my favourite images from the last 12 months. I hope you enjoy this little gallery. On social media you will often find different edits to these, so it is always worth checking out my Facebook and Instagram.

It was such a wonderful year, and looking back at these images from the last 12 months has reminded me of how lucky I am to both play and work with photography.

And now for the statistics of the site. First of all we can see the views are astronomical this year, a huge 83% increase on last year (606.3k views!!!), which I thought was a good year in itself! And to have an increase of 42% in visitors, to 162.8k visitors is mind-blowing! And what is more, I have kept the website totally free from adverts for everyone to enjoy.

My most viewed pages is interesting as for the first year ever, my Nikon content has overtaken my Fujifilm content!

And this is even better to see, most of my traffic is coming from search engines as opposed to me pushing things on social media! A HUGE thank you to Scott of scottfillmer.com for a huge amount of traffic, and also my good friend Marc of Open Source Photography who is one below this chart with just over 1000 referrals. Having a group of individuals working together and referring is important, and if you would like to join in with your site, just let me know!

Finally, the traffic! I am happy with that.

So, a HUGE thank you to everyone who has visited this website and supports me and my work. I hope that you all have a fabulous 2026 and continue to inspire others.

  1. Thanks for the mention, Mark, and it’s genuinely good to see how this works both ways. I’m seeing exactly the same effect on my side, with referrals coming in from One Camera One Lens, and that kind of natural back-and-forth matters more than most people realise. My own site has grown strongly over the past year as well, largely driven by search rather than social media noise, which feels like the right direction.

For me personally, 2026 feels like a turning point. The site has reached a stage where I either push through and develop it further, or risk it plateauing by doing more of the same. That’s exactly why this kind of mutual support matters: independent sites sharing ideas, approaches and perspectives, without chasing algorithms or trends. It’s a healthy dynamic for the photographic community, and one I intend to keep maintaining.

So once again, thank you for all the mentions over the past year. Wishing you and your family a great 2026 ! because in the end, that’s what really matters.

    All the best, Marc.
