I went out for a stroll with my eldest, and never intended to go out for a sunset shoot tonight, but me and Samuel enjoyed ourselves, and bumped into a friend so, armed with my Olympus E-PL8 I took a few photos. My Olympus is not my camera of choice for sunsets, but it is what I had with me!
All images taken with the Olympus E-PL8 with the 14-42mm lens and edited in Darktable 4.2. Sunsets are always quite difficult to edit when using the Olympus as the micro four thirds sensor is no where near as capable as my Fujifilm X-T3, but I was happy with the results.

As this was not a planned photoshoot, and more a casual stroll with the boy, I did not have my tripod, just my little Olympus in my pocket. The serious starts soon! I did take a number of HDR images tonight, but these are just edited single raw files. It’ll be interesting how the HDR merges turn out!
Until next time! See you soon.
Nice shots!

Nice set of images Mark. I especially like the one with your son on the scooter, the reflection, and the chimney smoke in the background. The Olympus did well in low light.

I’m always impressed at how good the Olympus handles low light shots. I’m even more impressed at the noise patterns, they’re no where near as distracting as on some other, much larger sensors I’ve used! Thank you Alan, much appreciated.
